If you have a convertible, you cannot do without a convertible roof cleaner. Convertibles mainly have fabric or vinyl roofs that can easily get dirt stuck in and start to build up after a few weeks or months. There is often a green deposit on the roof from all the algae that have adhered to the roof, making the roof look very dirty, dirty and untidy. You can easily remove these with a convertible roof cleaner.
A convertible roof cleaner cannot be compared with an ordinary one all-purpose cleaner or a shampoo. They have a specific formula to remove algae and the dirt that typically gets stuck in a convertible roof without damaging the impregnation protection layer or the stitching. Traditional all-purpose cleaners may be able to remove the dirt and algae, but they may harm the impregnation or stitching because the chemicals are too aggressive.
If you are going to use a convertible roof cleaner, we recommend that you wash the car first with a shampoo and the 2 emmer method and then rinse thoroughly. We first want to remove as much dirt as possible before we focus on the embedded dirt and algae in the convertible roof itself. You can simply spray the convertible roof cleaner on the convertible roof and start working it in with a brush. Try not to scrub too hard on the stitching to avoid possible damage. Then you can rinse it and repeat if necessary until the convertible top is completely clean again.
After cleaning, we always recommend to protect the convertible top again with a convertible roof impregnation. Please note that the roof must be completely dry for this, dry by feel is not good enough! We recommend letting the roof dry at room temperature for 12 hours before impregnating. After impregnation, the roof often has to stay dry for 12 hours, so try to do this on a dry day or when you can keep the car out of the rain.
You do not necessarily have to impregnate the convertible roof again every time after using a convertible roof cleaner. It is often recommended to re-impregnate the roof every 6 to 12 months. It simply depends on how often you drive the convertible and in what circumstances and how often you clean the convertible top. But an impregnation does not take long and for this you always have to clean the convertible top first, which requires the most time and effort. This means that it is often a quick and easy job to quickly do the impregnation so that the protection is optimal again and you no longer have to lose sleep over it.
A good convertible roof cleaner does not break down the existing protection and by applying a good convertible roof impregnation you also ensure that your convertible roof remains clean for longer and is also easier to clean. This makes it a total of 10 minutes of work if you use a convertible roof cleaner and impregnation on a regular basis.
