Tar remover

You always need a tar remover if you want to get your car spick and span. If you've ever washed your car or your rims and kept having black or dark brown spots that you couldn't get off, it's most likely tar. You can't get this off with a regular car shampoo and an wash glove† You can sometimes remove these with clay but with this you are much more aggressive than with a tar remover. The chance that you make scratches and marring is therefore much greater.
When you spray a tar remover on the tar spots, you have to let it soak in for a while so that the product can start to break down the tar. After this you can spray it off with a high-pressure cleaner, or in extreme cases you can use a microfibre cloth use to rub the product to loosen it. We recommend that you always wear gloves as tar remover can be aggressive to the skin.
Tar remover is also aggressive for any protection you have applied to your car. For example, this can be a wax, spray coating or a real one coating to be. Depending on the resistance of the protection, you may not completely remove it immediately, but you will inflict damage. A true coating is the most durable of all protection, it can take a few treatments with a tar remover if you have a good quality coating and it is still quite young.
You also have a tree resin remover. Tree resin and tar stains pull together very hard but the formulation has been slightly modified for best performance on specific tree resin. When your car is regularly under trees, you will see that sometimes drops of matte gray spots appear on the car. If you don't remove these in time, they can sometimes burn into the paint, so you will have to leave your car polishing of sand to remove the spots. The easiest way to remove these is with a tree resin remover. You simply spray the product on the spot and let it soak in for a while. Then you take a microfibre cloth and try to remove the spot as gently as possible. Wear gloves again to protect your skin.
As with many chemicals and especially in the detailing world, it is wise never to use the products on hot surfaces and in direct sunlight. This can sometimes cause the products to burn in or dry up quickly, which also significantly reduces the effect of the tar remover and tree resin remover.
