Description

Sonax Clay

De Sonax Clay is a high quality clay bar made to remove contamination that is stuck in the paint. Over time, dirt gets stuck in the paint. These are small contaminants that are not always visible to the naked eye, but they are there.

This can be, for example, spray mist, ingrained insect remains, industrial pollution and ingrained traffic dirt to name a few. This dirt makes the paint duller, dirty and ensures that dirt can adhere better to the paint, so that your car will get dirty faster and is more difficult to clean.

You can also remove a large part of the dirt by using the right chemicals such as a iron particles remover, tar remover, and so forth. This is always better as there is no chance of scratches or the like.

De Sonax Clay is gentle on the paint and removes these contaminants without any problems. Use it with an appropriate clay lube to minimize the risk of micro-scratches. If the clay bar falls on the ground, it is recommended to throw it away to avoid scratches in the paint during claying.

De Sonax Clay can be used on all painted and glass parts.

 User manual

  1. Wash the car with a good one shampoo to remove as much dirt as possible before claying.
  2. Remove as much stuck dirt as possible by first doing a chemical decontamination with an iron particle remover, insect remover and tar remover.
  3. Knead the clay into a handy and flat round of clay.
  4. Spray some clay lube on the surface and start moving the clay back and forth. Regularly spray some extra clay lube when the clay lube runs out on the surface.
  5. You will feel that the surface feels very coarse and rough during claying in the beginning. As you remove contamination, the clay will rub more easily over the surface, make less noise and you will see contamination in your clay bar.
  6. Regularly knead the clay bar again so that you have a fresh piece of clay bar again.
  7. After you have finished claying, it is recommended to rinse and dry the car completely to prevent spots on the car from the clay lube.
  8. If you notice light micro-scratches after claying, it is interesting to have a light polish to do. This can be done by hand or with machine.
