Description

Sonax Glass Polish

De Sonax Glass Polish from the PROFILINE product line is a high-quality polishing paste made to remove light scratches, dull and eroded spots from glass and windows. We do not recommend this for the plastic windows in convertible roofs!

De Sonax Glass Polish is made from a special kind of polishing paste that cannot be compared with the standard polishing paste that we use on paint. The formula contains Ceroxide which creates a chemical and hard polishing grain that is necessary to remove scratches from glass. Glass is in fact much harder than lacquer, making it absolutely necessary to have a specialized glass polishing paste and also the appropriate felt polishing pad such as the Sonax Felt Polishing Pad† A traditional polishing pad simply does not work. For best performance, it is also important to moisten the glass slightly during polishing.

In addition, the Ceroxide polishing grain is so hard that we recommend covering the surrounding painted parts with adhesive tape or cover with microfibre cloths. If you slip during polishing or if hard polishing grains of dust get on the paint that are not cleaned accurately, you risk scratching it. The Sonax Glass Polish, however, does not contain silicone, which makes it easy to remove.

User manual

  1. Make sure the windows are completely clean and, if necessary, a clay have had treatment.
  2. Tape edges with masking tape and lay microfibre cloths on nearby painted areas if necessary.
  3. Make sure the windows are slightly moistened with water.
  4. Use machine with the Sonax Felt Polishing Pad.
  5. Bring the Sonax Apply Glass Polish to the windows and start polishing.
  6. Work the product in and add extra product until the scratches or spots are gone.
  7. Remove excess product with a microfibre cloth.
  8. Do not reuse the microfibre cloth on other parts, throw it in the wash or even in the trash right after use. The extremely hard polishing grains can scratch the paint, even in a microfibre cloth!
