De Sonax CC36 or also the Sonax Ceramic Coating CC36 named from the PROFILINE product line is a long lasting ceramic protection which is applied in 2 layers after which it can provide up to 36 months or 3 years of protection when applied correctly and with proper maintenance.

By using the Sonax Ceramic Coating CC36 will give the paint extra shine, colour, depth and reflection, which significantly improves the appearance of the car. It will also ensure that the paintwork is protected against UV rays, wax scratches and contamination, which will also keep the general appearance of your car longer. In addition, the ceramic protection also provides dirt and water-repellent properties, so that your car will stay clean longer and is also easier to clean.

For maximum performance and durability it is important to have good preparation. Before you can start coating, it is recommended to have at least 2 hours to apply the coatings. In addition, it is important that the coatings have good adhesion to the paint. You do this by making the paint as clean and flat as possible. Start by extending the car  Wash and after that iron particles en tar spots to delete. It is also best to remove ingrained dirt by using a clay treatment to do. Finally, it is recommended to polish the paint. This is because the paint defects that get under the coating cannot be removed without removing the coating as well. It will also ensure that the paint is nice and clean and flat, which allows maximum adhesion between the Sonax Ceramic Coating CC36 and the paint. Finally, it is also important to degrease the paint before applying the Basecoat. You do this with a microfibre cloth and the supplied Sonax Prepare.

After the paint has been degreased, it is also important that the car is in a dry place and not in direct sunlight. Make sure the paint is cool and can stay dry for 24 hours. If you have just washed your car, we recommend blowing dry crevices and edges. This is to prevent water from running out of these crevices during the coating process, which could possibly cause damage to the coating.

De Sonax Ceramic Coating CC36 consists of 2 coatings. The base coating which lays a foundation layer between the paint and the gloss coating that is applied above it that provides the shine and protection. The Basecoat is a spray that is applied on the supplied applicator with number 1 on the white side. After this, the paint is treated in overlapping horizontal and vertical movements in an area of ​​50x50cm. After it has been allowed to dry for 2-3 minutes, you can remove the excess product with a microfibre cloth. Preferably a thick one microfibre cloth without borders like the Custom Car Care Gray Edgeless Towel† Turn your microfiber cloth regularly and replace if necessary. We also recommend throwing away the microfibre cloths after use as the coating will harden and form crystals in the microfibres which can scratch the paintwork with subsequent use.

Use a second clean microfiber cloth to re-apply over the area and an additional 10 inches beyond to make sure you've wiped off all of the excess. If the excess product is not easily removed, this can be for 3 reasons. Either you have used too much product, the surface is too warm or you have waited too long before taking it back. Adjust your technique so that the excess product is easy to remove. The semi-cured coating can be made softer again by spraying a little Basecoat on the applicator and applying it back over the area and rubbing it off immediately with a microfibre cloth.

Treat the whole car like this. Allow the Basecoat to dry for 1 hour before applying the Glosscoat. The Sonax Apply CC36 Glosscoat with the supplied applicator number 2. Apply a little Glosscoat on the white side of the applicator and treat again in an area of ​​50x50cm. There is no drying time of 2-3 minutes. You can immediately wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. So treat the whole car again.

After you have applied both layers of coating, the car must dry for at least 12 hours. Avoid contact with the paint and make sure that it does not get wet or come into contact with chemicals. Do not wash the car the first week. If it does get dirty, you can spray the car wet after 12 hours, but avoid soap or other chemicals. To protect the coating in its most vulnerable period during the first week, it is recommended to protect the coating with a spray coating like the Sonax Ceramic Spray Coating. As a result, the coating will be protected by the spray coating layer on top of the Glosscoat. Repeated use of the spray coating every 3-4 weeks will increase the performance and durability of the Sonax CC36 also promote.

User manual

1. Wash the car thoroughly with car shampoo and an wash glove.
2. OPTIONAL FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE
   1. Remove iron particles with a iron remover.
   2. Remove tar stains with a tar remover.
   3. Clay the varnish.
   4. polish the paint to remove paint defects and get a flat surface.
3. Make sure the entire car is clean and no more water is trapped between cracks and crevices.
4. Clean the surface with a surface degreaser such as the supplied Sonax Prepare.
5. Spray some Basecoat on the white side of the applicator.
6. Apply the product to the paint in horizontal and vertical overlapping movements on an area of ​​approximately 50x50cm.
7. Let the product dry for about 2-3 minutes.
8. Wipe off the excess with a thick, clean microfibre cloth preferably without borders like the Custom Car Care Gray Edgeless Towel.
9. The excess coating is normally easy to remove, if it is difficult to remove, you have either used too much product or waited too long to remove it again. If you can't get the product off without having to rub hard, you can reapply a little Basecoat to the applicator and rub it over the area and wipe it off after 10 seconds. This allows you to remove the semi-cured coating again.
10. After removing the excess coating with a microfibre cloth, it is recommended to wipe the area and an additional 10cm beyond with a new, clean microfibre cloth to make sure you have removed all the product.
11. Turn your microfibre cloths regularly and change them if necessary. Please also dispose of after use to avoid future damage from hardened coating in the microfibre cloth.
12. Wait 1 hour between the application of the Basecoat and the application of the Glosscoat.
13. Then do the same with the Glosscoat.
14. No 2-3 minute drying time required to remove excess product. You can wipe it immediately after application.
15. Then let the car dry for 12 hours. Avoid touch, water and chemicals.
16. OPTIONAL FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE
    1. After 12 hours of drying and before you drive, spray some ceramic spray coating like the Sonax Ceramic Spray Coating on the paint to protect it in its most vulnerable period.
17. Do not wash the car the first week.
