Sonax CC EVO
Sonax CC EVO also called the Sonax Ceramic Coating EVO called is the professional ceramic coating of Sonax PROFILINE product line. The CC EVO is the latest development from Sonax their ceramic coatings and is the evolved version of the Sonax CC36.
The CC EVO will provide long lasting protection for 3 to 4 years when properly installed and maintained. The CC EVO will provide extra colour, shine and reflection in the paintwork, significantly improving the appearance of the car. At the same time, it will also ensure that the paint gets an extra protective layer so that it is more resistant to wax scratches and pollution. In addition, the surfaces are also extremely water and dirt repellent, so that your car will stay clean for longer and it will also be easier and faster to clean your car.
De Sonax CC EVO consists of 2 layers of coatings. 1 layer base coating for good adhesion to the paint and 1 layer gloss coating for added shine, reflection and the typical ceramic water and dirt repellent properties.
To get the best performance and longest durability of the coating, it is important to give the paint a good pre-treatment. This by expanding the car Wash, iron particles en tar and then remove any stuck-on dirt with a clay therapy. It is recommended to also polishing to remove paint defects before applying a long-term coating. This is because all paint defects that are under the coating cannot be removed without removing the coating as well. In addition, the polishing also ensures a clean and flat surface, which allows the coating to adhere better and deliver better performance. After that it is necessary to degrease the paint with a surface degreaser such as the supplied Sonax Prepare and an microfibre cloth† The microfibre cloth is not included in the kit.
Use the coating in a cool and dry place. Make sure you have set aside at least 2 hours to apply the coating and make sure there is no more water in the cracks or edges. When the car is prepared and completely dry you can start applying the Sonax CC EVO. First spray a little Basecoat EVO on the white side of the supplied application sponge. Divide the product in horizontal and vertical overlapping movements in an area of approximately 50x50cm. Ensure a nice even distribution of the product. After 2-3 minutes, remove the excess with a thick microfibre cloth, preferably without edges such as the Custom Car Care Gray Edgeless Towel† Take a second clean microfibre cloth and rub again over the treated area and an additional 10cm beyond it to make sure all excess product has been removed. Switch sides of microfibre cloth regularly and replace if necessary. We recommend disposing of used microfibre cloths as the coating will harden in the microfibres and create so sharp crystals that subsequent use on the paint can cause paint damage.
If you find it difficult to remove the excess product, you can again apply a small amount of product to the applicator and rub the area again and immediately wipe with a microfibre cloth. The new application will make sure that the old one becomes smooth again so that you can take it off. The reason that it is difficult to remove may be because you have used too much product, waited too long before taking off the excess or because the surface is warm, which accelerated the curing process. Adjust your technique so that the product can stay on the surface for as long as possible but still wear off easily.
Treat the whole car like this. If you feel that the applicator is starting to harden, it is best to take a new applicator. After you have treated the whole car with the Basecoat EVO, wait 1 hour and take the Glosscoat EVO and apply 4 drops to a new, clean applicator. Treat the whole car again in the same way. You don't have to wait 2-3 minutes before you can remove the excess product. You can easily remove the excess product immediately after application with a microfibre cloth.
Then let the paint dry for the first 12 hours without touching it or letting it come into contact with water or chemicals. We recommend not washing the car for the first 1 to 2 weeks, after 24 hours the car can be hosed with water if it gets dirty. To protect the coating in its most fragile first week, it is also recommended to protect it with a ceramic spray coating such as the Sonax Ceramic Spray Coating. This will protect the coating, applying the spray coating every month will also prolong the performance and life of the Sonax CC EVO help.

- Wash the car thoroughly with car shampoo and an wash glove.

OPTIONAL FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE
- Remove iron particles with a iron remover.
- Remove tar stains with a tar remover.
- Clay the varnish.
- polish the paint to remove paint defects and get a flat surface.
- Make sure the entire car is clean and no more water is trapped between cracks and crevices.
- Clean the surface with a surface degreaser such as the supplied Sonax Prepare.
- Spray some Basecoat EVO on the white side of the applicator.
- Apply the product to the paint in horizontal and vertical overlapping movements on an area of approximately 50x50cm.
- Let the product dry for about 2-3 minutes.
- Wipe off the excess with a thick, clean microfibre cloth preferably without borders like the Custom Car Care Gray Edgeless Towel.
- The excess coating is normally easy to remove, if it is difficult to remove, you have either used too much product or waited too long to remove it again. If you can't get the product off without having to rub hard, you can reapply a little Basecoat EVO to the applicator and rub over the area and wipe off after 10 seconds. This allows you to remove the semi-cured coating again.
- After removing the excess coating with a microfibre cloth, it is recommended to wipe the area and an additional 10cm beyond with a new, clean microfibre cloth to make sure you have removed all the product.
- Turn your microfibre cloths regularly and change them if necessary. Please also dispose of after use to avoid future damage from hardened coating in the microfibre cloth.
- Wait 1 hour between the application of the Basecoat EVO and the application of the Glosscoat EVO.
- Then do the same with the Glosscoat EVO.
- Use about 4 drops per 50x50cm area.
- No 2-3 minute drying time required to remove excess product. You can wipe it immediately after application.
- Then let the car dry for 12 hours. Avoid touch, water and chemicals.

OPTIONAL FOR MAXIMUM DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE
- After 12 hours of drying and before you drive, spray some ceramic spray coating like the Sonax Ceramic Spray Coating on the paint to protect it in its most vulnerable period.
- Do not wash the car the first week.
